It’s 1:30 a.m. January 1st, 2008. 2008. Things were supposed to be different. George Orwell said so. Back in the 80’s actually. Big brother and all that. Oh, there are cameras at traffic intersections, and in schools, and on the outside and inside of convenience stores and in banks and on street corners…but that’s for our protection for crying out loud. There are ways to track us on our computers…ways to see where we’ve visited and what we’ve done, but that’s for our safety and security.
There are ways to track cars with GPS attatchments, and the government can wiretap our land lines, and anyone can tap into our cell phones. There are even ways to track our physical presense with cell phones. Thank God, because if we get lost, law enforcement agencies can find us.
Other than that…other than the fact that your privacy has been taken away for your safety, nothing has changed. Even though it’s 2008, it’s just like it was even before George wrote his story. Except of course the cameras at traffic intersections, and in schools and on the outside of convenience stores and in banks and on street corners…
Happy New Year everyone!

Funny how these things happen.
I think I’ll run for office and make some changes for good of all.
Oh wait, you need to be a filthy rich, failed scum bag attorney to even think about a term in office…..well, I’m working on that…..
Hey, maybe that’s why there’s a Zorro.

I’m not complaining until they try to implant a chip in my brain. Uh, gotta go. There are a couple of guys in black suits and sun glasses at the front door.

Hey, at least they don’t have you running on a wheel or running in a maze.
But I do strongly object to being used to move a pointer around a screen…I’m like a tool! To be bought and sold. What’s this world coming to???

Happy New Year back at ya, Don! You’re right about the privacy thing, and I can see that it’s a slippery slope, but I always think, OK, if they want to monitor me, go right ahead. They’ll die of boredom!

Do I see between the lines that you just had a bad experience somewhere?…

Oh boy….just got of the phone with MMouse. He’s steamin! He said one of those bloggers gave away his cousin as a Christmas gift….cut off his tail and claimed it was a “wireless mouse”. Oh boy…..I didn’t snitch on the blogger…..maybe that’s who was at your door this AM!
But don’t worry…if something happens, Don’s right, it’ll be on Cnn, ABC, etc. ’cause everyone is recording everthing we do!
And that’s a bad thing!

Judy;
No personal experience. Just a suspicion that our freedoms are eroding at an alarming rate. Those of you who welcome the arms of government and law enforcement protecting us, good luck.
