    We started without you!

Well, we’ve already started our holidays. Today is the first day of my break, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve had pneumonia, and while I’ve powered through the last week, it’s a wonderful thing to actually get to relax for a bit. The next 12 days will be presents, fun, lots of sleep, and of course, more pills. I plan on asking Santa for a number of nights of sleep this year!

It’s not all fun. It’s back to the doctor today for me, and since misery loves company, I’m taking my dog to the vet as well. We all have to get our check-ups at once.

We’ve already started our holidays at the Marks’ household. We gave out presents to some family members already, a few that we sadly won’t see next week — and of course, we’ve crept into our own stash. I’ve gotten some very nice books, which will help me pass the hours while I rest.

We’ll be on a reduced schedule next week with the holidays, so Happy Holidays to all of our friends from the writers of Little Blog of Murder.

    2. Merry Christmas from the Mark Zorro.
I never knew his first name…how did I miss it??? The name was always near his last name.

    4. You actually are opening your presents?!?!? We never do that around here. Always wait until Christmas morning. Well, except for the ones that arrives from out of town friends. Those have already been opened! Merry Christmas, Jeff. Feel better.

    5. Yeah, we opened a few already. I argued that it’s good for my illness!

    6. I have just officially finished my four-hour cookie baking marathon. I made severeal hundred thousand by the looks of it.

Tomorrow I shall ice them and don them with sprinkles, then later put them in Chinese noodle boxes and slap on those cheesy tape-on bows.

      NOw . . . . to the mall!

    7. So, C.R., will those cookies be coming by mail, or by courier? I just want to know what to expect.

by Judy on December 21st, 2007 at 1:23 pm

    8. I would gladly send you some — except that I don’t use any preservatives in my batter, so I’m afraid they wouldn’t stay fresh during the long trek west. Sorry.

    9. Hog dogs….I love Christmas hot dogs.

    10. Rats. I guess that means I have to make my own. What kind of cookies did you make?

by Judy on December 21st, 2007 at 2:48 pm

    11. I make your basic cutouts — trees, stars, bells, etc. –the kind my mother used to make. I started making them for my kids years and years ago. For the past several years I have made them with my mother but this year, of course, she’s in the rehab center. So I’m making them myself this year. Well, my little four-leged poop machine Dudley helped by quickly eating anything that fell on the floor.

And what, Zman, is a Christmas hotdog?

    12. I think he was just thinking about those preservatives you mentioned.

by Judy on December 21st, 2007 at 7:49 pm

    13. Merry Christmas Marks people. God bless you everyone.
