Oh the places you’ll travel…
I checked my weekend website traffic, just to see if anyone is paying attention. It’s kind of fun to see what pages are being visited…if anyone is clicking on the movie of Stuff To Die For, if they’re hitting the site because Sue Grafton hailed me as the “Sex, drugs, rock and roll and murder” author, or if they seemed to get there by mistake.
You can tell a lot about the visitors with all of the information that’s provided.
I find it fascinating that people come from all over the world. And in almost every case, they have linked because they wanted to be there, not because some wrong stroke of a key brought them to www.donbrunsbooks.com. (Of course, it would be hard to accidentally stumble onto that domain.)
Far away places popped up in the last three days like Bulgaria ( they stayed an hour), Alberttown, Guyana, Stockholm, Sweden (visited four pages and saw the movie), Gunahati Assam, India, Budapest, Hungry (came back three times), Rugby, England, Bridgetown, Barbados (They were interested in my book Barbados Heat), and Tehran, Iran. (Nah…couldn’t be him. He’s over here!)
Thank goodness, we also had a lot of people from the good old United States. I get a kick out of knowing I was in all these foreign countries, if even for just a few minutes this weekend. Of course, I get a kick out of a lot of things. It really doesn’t take much to entertain me. A good book, a cold drink…and a world map so I can figure out where all of these countries are.
