    Clyde Library Welcomes Bloggers

I’ve copied this from the Clyde Library website. The library is located at 222 W. Buckeye Street, Clyde, Ohio, Phone: (419) 547-7174.
If you’re in the area this coming Thursday, stop and see us. As a PS to what the library site says, we’ll have books for sale, too.

Four Ohio mystery authors will be talking about their work at the Clyde Public Library on Thursday, August 30, at 7 pm. The author panel is the last event of the “Midsummer Nights’ Mysteries” adult summer reading program. The public is invited to join members of the reading group in asking questions of the authors about their work, the craft of writing, and the authors’ experiences in publishing. Don Bruns, C.R. Corwin, Casey Daniels, and Judy Clemens are part of a group of Ohio mystery authors who contribute to the online site, “Little Blog of Murder.”

Don Bruns is the author of Jamaica Blue, Barbados Heat and South Beach Shakedown, a music murder mystery series featuring entertainment journalist Mick Sever. Bruns’ South Beach Shakedown was recently awarded the Best Books 2006 award in the mystery/suspense/thriller category. His latest book, due to come out September 1, is Stuff to Die For.

C.R. Corwin is the pseudonym of a former newspaper reporter who lives in Akron, Ohio. The “Morgue Mama” character he writes about works in a newspaper “morgue” or library, not a coroner’s morgue. Corwin has written two books about “Maddy” Sprowls, Dig and The Cross Kisses Back.

Casey Daniels’ mystery series, which includes The Chick and the Dead and Don of the Dead, features Pepper Martin, a former rich girl-turned-Cleveland cemetery tour guide with the ability to speak to the ghost of a Mafioso. The next book in the series, Tombs of Endearment, will be released in October.

Judy Clemens is the author of the Stella Crown mysteries, Till the Cows Come Home, Three Can Keep a Secret, and To Thine Own Self Be True. Stella is a Harley-riding, tattoo-wearing dairy farmer forced by the circumstances of events in her life to turn detective. The fourth book in the series, The Day Will Come, has just been released.

There is no registration required for this free program. Books by these authors are featured on the Readers Forum shelf behind the lobby desk and can be checked out. For more information call Jill McCullough at the Clyde Public Library, 419-547-7174.
